How does the process work?
Engagement begins with an intake call where we get to know one another, understand goals for your child's education, and where you see the greatest needs. From there, pertinent documentation will be shared which will be thoroughly reviewed and then discussed in a 60 minute follow-up call. On an ongoing basis, families can book sessions as needed to discuss the variety of topics and services outlined on the home page or select the annual subscription as detailed below.
Is it virtual or in-person?
Meetings are virtual video calls and can be accommodated at your schedule.
How frequent are the coaching sessions?
As needed, you set the schedule and frequency that works best for your child's educational needs.
What does it cost?
To best fit the needs of families, I have devised a simple, straight-forward pricing model which has both à la carte options or an ongoing subscription to the navigate-education coaching services. See below:
Introductory Call: $0
Meet Lisa and answer any question you have about the service
Initial Session: $250
This one-time fee includes:
Intake call to define needs and goals
Review of all pertinent educational documents (report cards, psychological educational assessments, IEPs, IPRCs, etc)
Review of all pertinent medical documents (medical notes and reports, Speech and Language and Audiological reports etc.)
60 min video call to discuss suggestions
Additional Sessions: $125
Annual Subscription: $1,000 *Offers the best value and continuity for families
The annual subscription of $1,000 fits most families. It includes:
Six 1-hour virtual meetings with Lisa, with most clients choosing to meet during common milestones in the annual school calendar such as:
Pre school startup
Mid-September
IEP consultation
October receipt of IEP
First semester completion
Prepping for IPRCs
Course selection and strategic planning
Second semester orientation
In addition to the 6 virtual meetings, clients also receive:
A detailed IEP review for accommodation needs each semester
Consultations with Lisa on an as-needed basis via email or voice
* Provincial health plans like OHIP do not cover Academic interventions or coaching. If you feel coaching could be of benefit but are not able to meet the fee schedule above, please reach out.
Is the child also involved in the coaching sessions?
Initially, it is usually a conversation between the parent/guardian and Lisa, though the child can be brought into subsequent sessions as deemed appropriate by the parent/guardian and Lisa.
